Why did we make this blog?
Simple: We love food, and we love sharing our love of food with others.

 

Ben and Lindsay met at work. It was shift work, long hours patrolling a busy campus, at odd hours. Because of this, midnight break was looked upon with a ridiculous amount of hope. If we can just make it to break, we're over half way done. And break meant food. While most people thought my (Lindsay's) food efforts were over done and the combinations slightly odd, Ben was intrigued.

... and a year later, this blog was born.

meet Lindsay

Hi, I'm Lindsay. I have zero professional cooking experience, but in my opinion I'm not half bad. I am a recent college graduate with a B.S. in biology, a minor in sociology, a criminal justice certificate, and a serious passion for food. My mother has been showing me how to cook for as long as I can remember. I love cooking because it's really all about intuition, knowing what will taste good together. But my main love of cooking is really the end result: eating whatever I have just made. My family likes to save I have dead taste buds, because I always add some sort of spice or condiment to my food. I'm just here to share my kitchen successes, my new restaurant favorites, or some random food tidbits.

Hey, my name is Ben. Like Lindsay, I’ve got absolutely no professional cooking experience, but this does not mean I haven’t dabbled in a few outstanding dishes over the course of my twenty-one years. I am currently a senior in college and while my major does not have anything to do with cooking or the restaurant industry, like Lindsay I’ve got a passion for good food. I try to maintain a healthy lifestyle and I know this doesn’t always entail food that tastes the best, so I try and make due, but this isn’t to say I don’t treat myself every once in awhile. Okay, it’s a little more than once in awhile. While my cooking expertise does not stretch as far as Lindsay’s, I’d like to think that I have a pretty good grasp on what tastes good, which is why I’ve decided to share my love of food.
